Mosquitoes are very annoying, its bites are sometimes very painful. Even the worst diseases like malaria, dengue etc are caused through these mosquitos. Even while sleeping in the night, these mosquitoes disturb us and make our sleep uncomfortable. This forces us to use mosquitoes repellent spray, creams or liquids which work on electricity.

There are many mosquitoes repellent creams in the market, which we can use on our skin but those will harm us more. Prolonged use of such products are linked to memory loss, headache, weakness, fatigue, muscle and joint pain, tremors and shortness of breath in humans and is particularly toxic to children.

When there are so many more effective ways to keep mosquitoes away using natural remedies and ingredients then why use chemical based products.

Ingredients

2 tbsp of each dried herb:

  • mint
  • sage
  • rosemary
  • lavender
  • thyme
  • 3-4 cloves
  • 8 oz of boiling water
  • Boiler
  • 8 oz of Astringent
  • Glass spray bottle

Herbs

Add water in the boiler and set to boil, add all your dried herbs and cloves into it. Cover the boiler with the lid so that the steam remains inside and oils from the dried herbs remain in the mixture. Once boiled, remove it from flame and let it cool till room temperature and strain it.

Make the Spray

For making the spray, now mix your Astringent and boiled mixture in equal parts in a spray bottle. close the top of the bottle and shake well gently.

One can also use essential oils instead of dried herbs, 10/15 drops of it would be fine.

One can also use fresh herbs, but using fresh herbs means, one has to take 3 times of dried herbs. Dried herbs are more concentrated since the water has been removed, making them stronger than fresh herbs.

How to Use

Spray the natural mosquito repellent on your skin before you head outdoors. It will repel mosquitoes, flies etc. The best thing about this repellent is that it is “Natural and Safe”. There are no scary chemicals nor is there any worry of reactions from using the repellent. Plus, it smells great!
