Egg pan fried (Tawa Egg) is the dish which is ready in very less time, say 10 minutes. Te idea of this dish popped up in my mind, when one day, I overslept and was too late to go office, so I wanted something a quick breakfast. That day made Egg pan fried (Tawa Egg) in ten minutes and believe me it was amazing.


Egg pan fried (Tawa Egg) can also be used as a side dish with Dal or rice. One can also try a variation of this dish.Instead of having this with Roti/chapati or rice, try putting in bread and make a hot and spicy sandwich with it. So let’s try out this quick Egg Pan fried.

  • Eggs 4 (hard boiled)
  • Onion paste
  • Tomatoes puree
  • Ginger/Garlic/Green chilies 1 tsp (finely chopped each)
  • Oil for cooking


  • 2 tsp Kashmiri chili powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp spicy chili powder ( if required)
  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander for garnishing


Heat a pan, add 4tsp oil, now add one by one the finely chopped garlic, ginger and green chilies saute for a minute till you get the garlic, ginger and green chilies aroma.

Now add the onions paste and saute till light golden brown. Add the tomato puree and saute well. Add all the masalas,( take care if you require then only add the spicy chilly powder), add salt mix well.

Now peel off the eggshell, cut them in half and add to the pan and mix well till all the flavors blend together and the egg is coated well with all the ingredients.

Garnish it with coriander and serve hot with roti/paratha, dal of choice.
