Mango milkshake is one of the very popular drink in north India. The taste of mango milkshake depends on the quality of mangoes. I still remember my childhood days when my grandfather used to get Alphonso from the wholesale market for a milkshake. The aroma of those mangoes used to fill in a room till they were there.

The best quality mangoes, which are naturally ripened will give you an ultimate taste of the milkshake. In the Maharashtra region, people also eat roti or chapati with mangoes.

  • 2 cup of chopped Alphonso mangoes peeled.
  • 2 cup of chilled milk.
  • few ice cubes.
  • 2 tbsp sugar as required depending on the sweetness of your mangoes.
  • Few strands of Saffron for garnishing.

How to make the recipe

  1. Combine all the ingredients and add to the grinder. Grind until all combines well and becomes somewhat thick.  I love thick shakes if you don’t then add some more milk.
  2. If at any point you think it’s too thick then add little more milk and also sugar. Alphonso mangoes are generally sweet so add sugar accordingly.
  3. Serve this mango milkshake chilled, garnish with few saffron strands and mango cubes. You could also serve with a dollop of cream or ice cream.
