Strawberry milkshake an ultimate drink which can replace your heavy meals too. Strawberry milkshake doesn’t involve anything fancy or anything difficult, strawberries are, not too sweet, but not too milky either. Creamy, thick, pale pink, we can just say – strawberry-strawberry-strawberry —That’s it, and off-course my favourite.
I never drink this milkshake outside, homemade is best. One can avoid artificial flavourings or sweeteners which are used outside or in restaurants. Make this Strawberry Milkshake at home and the kids would love it. Strawberries are good in vitamin C.
Many prefer bananas in this shake but i would recommend to avoid banana. The reason as per Ayurveda, the combination of banana and milk is quite heavy and makes you lazy.
What You Need
1/2 Kg fresh strawberries, plus more to garnish
1/2 Cup of Crushed ice
2 tablespoons white sugar
20 gms of crushed chocolate
3/4 to 1 cup whole milk
1 tbsp milk powder
1. Slice the strawberries. Sprinkle the sugar over them and stir in the cup whole milk. Put the strawberries in the freezer to chill for about an hour.
2. When the strawberries and milk have been chilled (By doing this the flavour of strawberries is blended in milk), take them out and put them in the blender with 1 tbsp milk powder (powdered milk will just add a bit of richness and creaminess). Blend until the strawberries are completely crushed and dissolved in milk. There should be no big chunks left at all.
3. Now put some crushed ice in to the blender and whip for 2/3 times. One can get additional creaminess. So no need to mix ice-cream in it.
4. Pour the milkshake out into the chilled glasses and garnish with crushed chocolate. Drink immediately!
